![]() ![]() Ascension is one of the leading non-profit and Catholic health systems in the U.S., operating 2,600 sites of care – including 142 hospitals and more than 40 senior living facilities – in 19 states and the District of Columbia. Our volunteer program includes college students, retired adults, and adults who are still active in the workforce. Due to the time and effort we put into screening, onboarding, and training new volunteers, we require a minimum 6 month commitment. Serving Texas for more than 120 years, Ascension is a faith-based healthcare organization committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable. Volunteers commit to a 3 or 4 hour shift each week. Ascension Seton partners with Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and shares a common vision of transforming healthcare through a focus on quality and value. In Texas, Ascension operates Ascension Providence in Waco and Ascension Seton, which includes Dell Children’s Medical Center, the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital and pediatric Level I trauma center, and Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, the region’s only Level I trauma center for adults. ![]() The announcement of the health center follows other exciting expansions from Ascension Seton in Central Texas, including the new, full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital, Dell Children’s Medical Center North, plans to build a new women's tower on the Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin campus, the addition of the new Comprehensive Fetal Care Center and Specialized Delivery Unit at Dell Children’s Medical Center, new Ascension Medical Group clinic in Georgetown, opening of Ascension Seton Health Center Lamar and more. Ascension Seton has seen an increased demand for specialty care in Central Texas, and we are continuing to grow to meet those needs. Providing access to compassionate, high quality care for all continues to be a primary focus for Ascension Seton. ![]()
